Robert Thomas Jr.

Robert N. Thomas, Jr., of Robeson Twp., passed away during the afternoon hours of Tuesday February 1, 2022 in the Lebanon Veterans Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Beverly A. (Kline)Thomas with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage with on September 2. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert N. Sr. and Esther M. (Hafer) Teter. Bob is survived by his sons: Robert N. III husband of Melanie Thomas of Exeter Twp. and Joshua husband of Kristin Thomas of Honey Brook. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Cody, Lindsey, Lauren, Isabella and Benjamin. Bob was a graduate of Exeter High School and then went on to serve the country he loved in the United States Army, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Upon returning home Bob graduated from Pierce College with a degree in Business Administration. Bob was employed for many years as the Meat Dept. Manager at the former Pathmark Grocery Store, Exeter Twp. He was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Douglassville. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed going with his wife Bev to Las Vegas, he enjoyed fishing, going to classic car shows and watching his Philadelphia Phillies. Bob will be sadly missed. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the 5th floor at the Lebanon Veterans Hospital, for the care and compassion extended to Bob and his family. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the family on Monday February 7, 2022 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church 905 Chestnut Street Douglassville PA 19518. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Entombment with military honors will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road Birdsboro PA 19508 or dav.org to help another Vietnam Era Veteran (follow the prompts) in memory of Mr. Robert N.
