Russell Wenger Obituary

Russell K. "Butch" Wenger, of Bethel Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in his residence. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Kenneth R. and Kathryn L. (Long) Wenger. He graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1975. Russ was self-employed as a Plumber/Electrician, until retirement. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Rehrersburg. He was a member of Strausstown Rod and Gun Club. Russ always enjoyed hunting, trapping, and woodworking. He will be remembered by many lifetime friends. Russ is survived by three sisters: Karen L. (Wenger) Mason, wife of Richard G., Hamburg, Sharon K. (Wenger) Leffler, wife of Kenneth, Myerstown, and Pamela J. (Wenger) Franklin, wife of Robert A., Hamburg; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life with time of sharing will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 6:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off street parking in rear). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 pm in the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com
