Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Saturday in her residence. Shirley was married to the late John R. Endy, who passed away July 26, 1998. She was previously married to the late Raymond H. Spengler Jr.
Born in Evansville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Borrell) Schwab.
Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Shirley was employed for forty-three years for
Arrow International. In her earlier years, Shirley enjoyed traveling to Canada fishing with her late husband, John.
Survivors include a son, Barry J. Spengler and wife, Jean Spengler, of Temple; and a stepson, John D. Endy and wife, Samantha Endy, of Exeter Twp. There are five grandchildren: Nicole and David Spengler, and Brianna, John J. and Robert J. Endy. There is a great-grandson, Conner J. Smith.
Shirley is survived by her siblings: Patricia Emerich and husband, Charles Emerich; Darlene Noll; Theresa Becker and husband, Donald Becker; and Agnes Schittler and
husband, James Schittler.
Shirley is predeceased by her siblings: Charles Schwab and survived by his wife, Gail Schwab, Anna Fenstermacher and survived by her husband, Ronald Fenstermacher, and Richard Schwab and survived by his wife, Cindy Schwab.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 2nd, at 10:30 a.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Twp.
