Shirley Guldin Obituary
Shirley J. Guldin, 84, of Alburtis, passed away, Friday, January 25, 2019, in Kutztown Manor.
She was the wife of Russell O. Guldin. They were married 62 years. Born in
Longswamp, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sallie (Shoemaker) Meck. She was a
member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mertztown. She was employed at BCIU as a daycare worker. She enjoyed quilting, baking, camping, cooking and gardening. The joy of her life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; children: LuAnn, wife of Kevin Umberger, of Mertztown; Scot Guldin and wife Julia, of Kutztown; Susan, wife of Thomas Trupp, of Fleetwood; Thomas Guldin and wife Susan, of Fleetwood; grandchildren: Emily Hartman (Jeremy), Erin Umberger (Theo), Chelsea Wessner (Jake), Brett Beadle (Elliot), Kirsten Wolfe (Damian), Megan Trupp, Sara Schwalm (Jeremiah), Jillian Krajewski (Matt), Jeremy Guldin; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Rylan, Elijah, Connor, Gavin, Tucker; sister, Sally Ann Schofer, of Topton.
She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, PA 19539. Calling will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements: Schmoyer Funeral Home.
