Born in Robeson Township, he was a son of the late Lee and Mary (Messner) Gundy.
He had been a self-employed farmer. His farm was on Gunhart Road, Robeson Township.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Gibraltar.
Surviving are six nephews and a niece.
Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John’s Cemetery, Gibraltar, with the Rev. William E. Harner Jr., officiating.
Dengler Funeral Home Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, is in charge of arrangements.

Barry, thanks for your entry. I didn't even know Great Uncle Walter had played cards!
My favorite memory is Uncle Walter sruggling with a stubborn mule... but those were all good times. Going to market, making cup cheese, sitting in the summer house.
God Bless Walter, and I'm glad he's at peace with my grandmother and greatgrandmother.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.I remember playing Hasenpfeffer with Mr. Gundy at the Brecknock Fire Co. about 35 years ago when I was a teenager. My mother (Grace Eager) and my aunt (Ruby Fryberger)also played and we had a great time each week.
