William Mohn Obituary


William H. Mohn, 89, of Mohrsville died Monday, February 11, 2013, in his residence.

He was the husband of Miriam E. (Werley) Mohn. They were married on August 1, 1959, and celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late William H. and Gertrude (Ebert) Mohn. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for Ryder P.I.E., Bath, until his retirement. William was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp.

He was a life member of United States Auto Club and a member of NASCAR since 1953. William enjoyed boating, camping and fishing, and watching ice hockey.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Larry J., husband of Connie L. (Wagner) Mohn, and Kevin W. Mohn, both of Mohrsville; and four grandsons, Joshua, Andrew, William and Thomas. Also surviving are three nieces. William was predeceased by one brother, Bobby Mohn, and two sisters, Mary Forton and Mildred Leitzel.

Services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 10-11:00 a.m.
