Bert L. Todd Jr.

Bert L. Todd Jr., 73, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 35 years by his side on Wednesday, June 17. Born to Bert Todd Sr. and Anna Todd in Lodi, CA, moving to Fort Bragg where Bert spent the majority of his life. Bert was an inspiring man who was a logger for over 60 years. He began in the logging business by washing trucks at a very young age. He owned a successful business, Todd and Kelsey Logging, in Fort Bragg and finished up his logging business in Point Arena. He retired in Lakeport, where he worked for People Services the past 6 years.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, LaVern Todd, brothers Jim Todd and his wife Mary Ann of Fort Bragg; and Loren Todd of Ukiah, daughters Peggy Yanez and her husband Salvador of Fort Bragg; Wendy Funderburk of Fort Bragg; Dorothy Barrett of Point Arena; Diane Price and Dave DeConti of Fort Bragg; sons Richard Evans and his wife Trisha of Fort Bragg; and William Eric Evans of Fort Bragg. Bert loved his family and being around his 16 fun loving grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nephews Jim Todd of San Jose, Ebert and Garrett Todd; nieces Shari Todd of Fort Bragg and Kimberly Smith and her husband Corey of Sonoma. Besides the many friends he has made along the way, to Bert, everyone was family.
Please join in the celebration of his life at a memorial potluck on Thursday, July 2, among family and friends at The Lodge at Blue Lakes, 5135 W.
