Doris Marie Clement

March 5, 1914 ­ July 9, 2004

Doris Marie Clement of Clear Lake, passed away in Chico July 9, 2004. She was born March 5, 1914, to Adam and Angela Mogni on the family ranch in Willows.

She graduated from Willows High School in 1933 and moved to Ukiah where she met and married her first husband, Jack Mitchell. Together they managed the Palace Hotel Coffee Shop in Ukiah. Following their separation, she moved to the Bay Area where she owned and managed two restaurants in Richmond. She met and married Kenneth Clement in 1958. In 1968 they moved to the Clear Lake Riviera, where she lived until her death.

Doris loved to play golf and bridge and was a charter member of the Clear Lake Riviera Women's Club. She was also a member of the Clear Lake Riviera Golf Club and a faithful member of both St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lakeport and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kelseyville.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Margaret Mogni of Willows and Clear Lake Riviera; sister, Norma Jones of Chico; stepdaughter, Bonnie Hickey of Arkansas; two grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death.

Doris will be remembered as a loving and caring person who embraced life to the fullest.

A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16 at the Willows Catholic Cemetery.
