I very sorry for the loss of Hugh. He was
a great guy and great business man. He was
very kind to me when I needed tires for
my car in letting me charge. Always with
a very good sense of humor and conversation. Lake County was a better place with him in it. I shall miss him.
My condolences to his wife Karen.

What I remember most about Hugh was his kindness. Long before I became a teacher, I was doing Day Care and had a load of kids in my VW bus (back before seatbelts, certification for day care etc.) and drove to the tire shop to see about getting a new tire. He told me that I really needed all 4. When I said I didn't have the money for that at the time, he smiled, looked at the kids, and said "I will put them on anyway. Pay me when you can." Yeah, I did pay him, but that memory has stayed with me, that he would put others first. Much love to your whole family, you all seem to share that generous trait..

Karen and family I was so sad to hear about Hughs passing. So many memories with our families. I still think about that one summer when it was so hot and you drove to Hugo's house from out of town and you and Hugh jumped out of your car and ran to the lake and jumped in clothes and all. So funny. Lots of memories. Thinking of you and the kids. God bless you. Kris Thompson Edgmon
