Jerome Sutton Obituary

Jerome "J.P." Sutton Jerome "J.P." Sutton died peacefully on September. 6, 2018. He was born on November 23, 1929, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of six children born to Hardy and Ellen Sutton. He was a veteran who served in the Air Force. He married Hazel and they had four children. He worked in the logging industry for many years and eventually ended up working for the County of Lake road crew in Upper Lake. He was an avid golfer, a retired pilot and ran a small engine repair service until his blindness. He had many hobbies which included motorcycles, fishing and gold panning. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50+ years, Hazel; his son, Jeffrey Sutton; and granddaughter; Nicole Sleeper. He leaves his three remaining children, daughters, Pam (Ken) Sleeper, and Cynthia Clark, and son, Wayne Sutton. He also leaves nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A potluck Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bachelor Valley Grange Hall in Upper Lake.
