Mary Kyle Obituary
Born in Santa Barbara, Ca. to Wm. and Tilla McCampbell, on April 28, 1923, the family moved to San Diego, and subsequently in late 1929 to Calexico, Ca.
She attended Imperial Valley College, and Sisters of Mercy College of Nursing at Hillcrest in San Diego prior to her marriage to Ensign Gene M. Kyle U.S,.N.R. July 25, 1943. Married for 66 years, they raised four children, living in both Calif. and Arizona. The Kyles moved to their retirement home in Clearlake, Riviera in 1989. Active in the Kelseyville Seniors, serving on the board, and as Publicity chair for a number of years, she also served on the board of the Lake County Computer Users Club, and was a member of the Lake County Gleeners.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Madison Kyle, Jr., great-grandson Jerry Douglas Harris III, sister, Joan Schmedemann, sister Judith Lou Anderson, brother William A. McCampbell Jr., her parents, and her very dear, sister-in-laws, Susie Mary Kyle and Ruth Holmes McCampbell.
She is survived by her beloved husband Gene, and much loved daughters, Alix (Jim) Mason, Toni (Dave) Bryce, and Anne (Stephen) Titsworth; grandchildren, Beverly Bryce, Heather (Doug) Harris, Valerie (Rick) Thompson, Daniel Frank Smith, David (Kathy) Bryce, Phil (Ashley) Titsworth, and Greg Titsworth. Plus five great-grandchildren; brother-in law, Don Kyle: six first cousins, and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
A Private memorial Service will be held at a later date for the family and friends.
Arrangements by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport. The Family suggests memorial donations to The Kelseyville Senior Center, or Hospice of Lake County, 1717 S. Main, Lakeport, Ca.95453.
