Richard Bellone Obituary
Born January 11, 1934, in South San Francisco, Richard lived most of his life in the Bay Area before moving to Lakeport, California in 2002. He attended San Mateo High School before enlisting in the US Army where he served 3 years, followed by a long career with the City of San Mateo. Richard was also a member of The Sons of Italy Lodge #2537. Throughout his life Richard collected, restored, and showed classic cars and trucks including his favorite 1990 Chevy step-side affectionately named "Sweet 'n Low".
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Henrietta Bellone, an aunt, Clara Monticone of San Francisco, sisters & brothers-in-law Eva & Victor deSpiganovicz of Pollock Pines, Chris & Fred Belka of Lakeport, Tom & Carmen Cornell, Jr of San Jose, Helen & Lee Geoble of Nice, step-children Patty Manzi (David) of Pleasanton, and Michael Bennett of San Jose, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Richard on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 pm at The Sons of Italy Lodge, 2817 Hwy 20, Nice, CA. Reception & luncheon will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Lake County Hospice who provided such wonderful care for Richard in his time of need, or to The Sons of Italy Lodge #2357.
