Richard Pyorre Obituary

Richard Michael Pyorre (Rick) 4/25/1970 11/16/2023 Rick was born to Rich and Cindy Pyorre in Ukiah on April 25, 1970. In 1972 Rick's family moved back to Fort Bragg to start an insurance agency and in 1974 Rick got a little brother, Jacob Patrick. Rick lived most of his formative years in Fort Bragg graduating from Fort Bragg High School in 1988. While in High School he was active in athletics and was a member of the Timberwolf Football, Wrestling and Golf teams. He was especially good in wrestling and made the USA Wrestling Team that traveled to Germany and competed against both East and West German wrestlers, as it was before the Berlin Wall came down. Graduating from high school Rick received an academic scholarship to Chapman University where he majored in communications and received his Bachelor's degree. He then worked in Hollywood on several CBS after school specials, and for Fox Studios on the show Comic Strip Live. Rick was living in the Hollywood area when the Northridge Earthquake hit and the 3 story apartment in which he was living was thrown off its foundation. He then moved back to Fort Bragg and went to work, for a short while, as a marketing person for the Skunk Railroad. It was during this time that he reconnected to an old girlfriend, Ann Garrison, which lead to them being married in 1998. During this time Rick had gone to work as the Marketing Director for Twin Pine Casino and purchase a home in Santa Rosa. Rick and Ann lived there with son Taylor and then greeted son Jacob Oswald, daughter Mavis and twins Nathan and Ashley. The family moved to their current home in Lakeport in 2004 where Rick eventually joined the family business and opened a branch of Pyorre Insurance Agency in 2005. He was very involved in the community and coached, at one time or another, football, soccer, wrestling, baseball and softball. He also worked on many wrestling tournaments to raise money for his wrestlers. His entire family has also been very involved in the haunted house project raising money for various charities. He was a very caring person and loved his family and being around them very much. He loved to take the family waterskiing, snowboarding and other family adventures. He will be deeply missed by his family and extended family of friends, as well as Levi, his faithful dog. There will be a celebration of his life sometime in 2024, but if you wish to do something in his memory please donate to the Fort Bragg or Lakeport wrestling teams, Lakeport Volunteer Fire Department or charity of your choice. b
