Austin Michael Kowalewski

1984 - 2022

Austin Michael Kowalewski was the victim of an automobile accident and passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 in Southington, CT, at the age of 38. Austin was born on March 5, 1984 in Bristol, CT and was the only child of Michael Kowalewski of Southington, CT and the late Tammy Kula (Gioia).
Austin grew up in Southington and graduated from Southington High School in 2002 and later earned his bachelor's degree at Mitchell College. Austin was a "techy" and enjoyed working at the family business with dear ole dad recycling and repairing electronics. His loss is immeasurable, especially for his dad who will miss him terribly!
Austin enjoyed travelling and especially loved his yearly trips to Rhode Island and Saratoga with his dad. He also enjoyed kayaking and cooking. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle manner and lighthearted sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Kowalewski, grandmother, Ellen Gioia (Richard), and his favorite uncle, Steven Kowalewski.
He is survived by his grandmother, Geraldine Mueller (Ryden) and her husband Karl of Southington, CT, grandfather, Catello "Sonny" Gioia of Southington, CT, his uncles Al and Gary Kowalewski, and his aunts Toby Gioia Paradis, Shelly Morelli, and Cheryl Fasulo, as well as several very close cousins, many friends and his fur baby, Baby Dell.
A celebration of his life will be held at the IPIC Club on 16 Harding Street, Berlin, CT, on Thursday, September 22nd from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. for family and friends.
