Barbara A. Logodicio

1936 - 2021

Barbara A Logodicio, 84, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospital of Central Connecticut after a brief illness. Barbara was born on October 31, 1936 in Meriden, CT, where she resided her whole life. She was the daughter of the late Francis Champagne and Anna Banack.

Most of her career was spent working in the restaurant industry, but her most important job was being a loving mother to her 5 children. She was active member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Church and took great joy in serving God as a eucharistic minister. Barbara was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was actively involved in the Meriden Senior Center.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Barbara Shiels and her husband Joseph; her three sons, Anthony, Donald, and Ronald Logodicio, Sr., and his wife Tracy; along with 13 loving grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane M. Logodicio; two sisters, Frances, and Mary; as well as two brothers Albert and Edward.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT on Monday, August 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Mt. Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Avenue in Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
