Bob Gagne

MERIDEN - Bob Gagne, 77, of Meriden, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at his home surrounded by his four children. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta Urbanski Gagne.

He was born in Meriden, March 12, 1936, a son of Mary Dupres Gagne, of Meriden and the late Ernest Gagne. He was a lifelong Meriden resident and proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed throughout Europe. Bob was an avid cribbage player and loved crossword puzzles. He lived for his family.

In addition to his mother, Mary, he is survived by his children, Renee Fjeldal and her husband, the Rev. Eric Fjeldal, of New Canaan, Rob Gagne and his wife, Kelli, of Middletown, Erik Gagne, of Enfield, and Mark Gagne, of Rocky Hill; his 11 grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; his four siblings and their spouses, Richard and Beatrice Gagne, of Meriden, Shirley and Peter Golas, of Meriden, Leonard and Chris Gagne, of Southington, and Nancy and Danny Bushey, of Meriden; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Friday, May 17, from 10 until 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. Eric Fjeldal will officiate. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to Hartford VNA, Attn. Bill Pilkington, 999 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
