Brian Signor Obituary
He was born in Meriden on Dec. 3, 1964. He was the son of Lynn J. Signor of Meriden, and the late, Linda Signor Hedenberg and her husband, Donald, of Barkhamstead. He resided in Meriden and graduated from Orville H. Platt High School. He spent his career as a meat cutter and was a long time employee of A &P and Big Y. Brian was an avid sports fan, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds and Phoenix Suns. For many years, he played in the Meriden men's basketball and softball leagues. He also enjoyed being outdoors fishing, golfing, swimming and riding waves in the ocean, Lake George and Hague N.Y., are his second home and where he will rest.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his beautiful daughter, Monica Kay; and his handsome son, Derek Brian, of Meriden. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Signor Pappas and her husband, Stratos, of Cheshire; his brother, Robert Henry Signor, of Waterbury; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, John, Richard, Karl and his late wife, Janice, Robert and his wife, Polly, Gail Burrows and her husband, Richard; his nieces, Emily, her husband, Seth and their son, Max, Ashley and Kristina and his nephews, Erik and Jacob.
Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Monday, March 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral services will be private. For online condolences, please visit www.jferryfh.com.

I don't live in the area any longer and I was stunned when I heard the tragic news yesterday. We hadn' spoken in years, but I spent a lot of time with Brian in my younger days and have many, many great memories of him. I will never, ever forget him. My (belated) deepest sympathy for his family.

Even when I no longer worked there, but shopped at the store for the past two years, he always went out of his way to say hello and find out how I was.
