Charles Mello Obituary

WALLINGFORD - Charles Mello, 88, of Wallingford, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at Masonicare Health Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances Amen Mello for 63 years.

He was born April 15, 1929, a son of the late Charles and Josephine (Rotello) Mello, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his children, Diane Mesite and her husband, Richard, and Charles J. Mello and his wife, Kimberly; and his grandchildren, Scott Mesite, Laura Mesite, Joseph Mello, and Michael Mello. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Wednesday, May 24, at 12 p.m., when the funeral cortege will proceed to Church of the Resurrection, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
