Christopher Koenig Obituary

SOUTHINGTON - Christopher W. Koenig, age 22, of Church St., in the Plantsville section of Southington, died Monday, May 21, 2007, due to injuries sustained in a mountain hiking accident.

Born, Nov. 3, 1984, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., a son of the Rev. Richard A. and Susan (LeConey) Koenig, he had been a longtime Southington resident.
Chris graduated from Southington High School in 2003 and attended the University of Rochester. He had an adventurous and generous spirit, loved music of all kinds and loved his many friends. His enthusiasm for life came through in everything he did.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Robert A. Koenig of Plantsville; his maternal grandparents, the Rev. Dr. William and Lucia LeConey of New Jersey; his paternal grandfather, the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Koenig of Pennsylvania; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, the Rev. Norma E. Koenig.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Plantsville Congregational Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Donations in Christopher's memory may be made to the Plantsville Congregational Church Music Fund, 109 Church St. Plantsville, Conn 06479
