Constance "Connie" Colaresi

1918 - 2016

NEW BRITAIN - Constance "Connie" (Pettinato) Colaresi, 98, of New Britain, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016.

Connie was born April 8, 1918, in New Britain, daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Napolitano) Pettinato. Connie enjoyed working at Birmbaum where she was a sales clerk for many years before employment at New Britain General Hospital, from where she retired in 1972. Retirement aside, she continued working at J.C. Penny in West Hartford until she was 82 years young. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assis Ladies Guild and choir for many years.

Connie leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Lucille Colaresi, and John and Martha Colaresi; grandchildren, Jennifer Polsky and her husband, David, Kristin Colaresi and John "J.R." Colaresi; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel "Nate" Polsky and Joshua "Josh" Polsky; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased be her loving husband of 62 years, Everett F. Colaresi.

The Colaresi family would like to thank the staff at Middlewoods of Newington, Connie's home for 10 years, for giving her a great quality of life and the staff at Westfield Care in Meriden for their compassion and care in her final days.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Connie on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 9 a.m. at Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home followed by St. Francis of Assis Church, New Britain at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home, 205 S.
