David Wiltse Obituary

If you're reading this, it's because my time here on this earth is complete. I was born and raised here in Connecticut all my life, raised by Hop and Jean Wiltse along with my sister Karen and brother John. I was most fortunate to spend most of my working career for the Schaller family in their automobile dealerships and looking back I want to thank them for the employment and support for all the years. Friends cannot be numerous enough and although there are too many to mention, the Wrecking Crew from Newington are a special bunch. No matter what or when they could always be counted on for any gathering. I cannot miss the opportunity to also mention the Indian Guide parents who we shared many laughs and good times with. Fortunately, Bomber and I joined a ski trip to Switzerland and met the love of my life Debbie. We were fortunate enough to have three great kids- Anthony, Rebecca, and Adam. Along with their spouses and kids we grew our family in Southington and I was blessed indeed- for it's family that really counts. I wish all that are reading this to not dwell on the sadness of losing a loved one but relish your friends and family for any occasion and love life. Here's to all of you, thank you. -Dave Wiltse Dave is survived by his loving wife Debbie D'Angelo-Wiltse, his children Anthony Wiltse and his wife Brittany, Rebecca Jalowiecki and her husband Joseph, and Adam Wiltse. He adored being "Beebop" to his beloved grandchildren, Xavier, Emmons, Keegan, Paxton, and Ailie. Dave is also survived by his mother Jean Wiltse, his sister Karen Wiltse and her partner Jean Watson, and his brother John Wiltse. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org). A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.plantsvillefuneralhome.com

Dear Deb, Anthony, Becca, Adam and the entire Wiltse family,

I am so heartbroken to hear the terribly sad news of Dave's passing. Ray had and Ray III, Mackie and I have the greatest memories of Dave, thanks to our wonderful Lake George vacations. We speak often of the memorable yearly Lake George trips with the Wiltses, Meos and Nardis. Those were the most incredibly fun times, thanks in large part to Dave's hysterical banter and playful shenanigans. Remember how we would actively compete for Dave's mounted Billy Bass award for Best Dinner of the Week! (and how we routinely denied it to the best chef there, T. Nardi!). So many priceless memories. There is so much about Dave that reminds me of Ray: their big hearts, their non-stop humor, their love of family, their absolute joy at becoming grandfathers! Much like Ray, Dave leaves behind a tremendous legacy of love and loyalty for friends and family.

Dave truly lived a good life and he will always stay alive in your heart, Deb, and the hearts of his children and grandchildren. I look forward to celebrating Dave's wonderful life! (oh..the stories!) I miss him already. He was a true gem of a human being.

My sincerest condolences and prayers to you all.

Love,

Ruth Yakaitis

We are so sorry for this loss in your family. Chris had the pleasure of knowing Dave years ago and I had the pleasure of meeting him weeks ago. I could see how perfect he and Debbie were for each other instantly. He will be with you always but in a different way. Much sympathy from our family to yours.

I am so sorry for the loss of the love of your life Dave !! I know him , Adam and Anthony as I live across the back parking lot. I would see Dave every morning with his cup of coffee to open up the garage and putter around. Always had kind words to say to me and I would ask about Zeke. What a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who know him. May he Rest In Peace and I will send prayers your way for strength to get through till you meet again. Be strong. Cynthia

Deb and entire family, I was crushed to hear about Dave´s passing. He was by far one of the nicest guys anyone could meet and a perfect mate for Deb. I will definitely donate to the Tunnels to Tower in Dave´s honor. I don´t travel too far but will definitely call you Deb in the near future. Love and prayers to you and entire family.
