Dorothy Cellano Obituary

MERIDEN - Dorothy E. (Zaler) Cellano, 85, wife of the late Eugene Cellano, was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, after a short illness at Masonic Home.

Born in Waterbury, on May 30, 1930, to the Late Howard and Dorothy Myer Rath. Dorothy has been a longtime resident of Meriden, was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and was a waitress in the food industry for many years. Spending time with her family was the most important thing to Dorothy with her second past time was playing her poker machine.

She will be remembered by her children, Debra Juan, Jane Arisco, and Frank Zaler, all of Meriden. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Lasko, Tina Singleton, Michael Juan, Frankie Zaler and Jessica Zaler. Dorothy also had 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be private. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of the arrangements.

God has taken an angel . I only knew Dot for 4 years, but she was a wonderful woman who's laughter was contagious.im so sorry for the loss we are missing her so.

I am a friend of Kim (Nash) Lasko, I met her grandma in Meriden the last time Kim was up- I am sorry to hear of her passing- God Bless your whole family at this time-Kim has many found memories of her "Nana"
