Edward Sion Obituary
He was born in Shenandoah, Pa., a son of the late Rezalla and Alice Sion, and was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in North Haven until his retirement. Edward was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church and a longtime member of the Middletown Elks Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and golfer who loved Philadephia sports.
In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his children, Edward Sion and his wife, Karen, of Patterson, N.Y., Colleen Shea and her husband, Bob, of Madison, and Michael Sion, of Rocky Hill; his daughter-in-law, Shannon Sion, of Storrs; his grandchildren, Krista Sion, Andrew Sion, Ryan Shea, Campbell Sion, Aidan Sion and Jordan Sion; his brother, John Sion and his wife, Dolores, of Ringtown, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Donna Kapes; his cousins, Charlie and John Nahas; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Sion; and his sister, Marie Sion.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. directly at Notre Dame Church in Durham. Interment will be in Mica Hill Cemetery in Durham.
