Elizabeth Arrigoni Obituary
She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late George and Marguerite (Smith) Simmons. Betty was a member of the St. Colman's Ladies Guild, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Skippo Girls Club.
Besides her husband, Betty is survived by her sons, Ray Arrigoni, of Middletown; Russell Arrigoni, of Middletown; and Robert Arrigoni and his wife, Kathy, of Virginia; her daughters, Nancy Miller and her husband, George, of Middlefield; and Cynthia Kindschi and her husband, Roger, of Killingworth; a brother, Robert Simmons of Middletown; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Battersby, of California; and Madeline Combe of Middletown.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Notre Dame Church in Durham. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the State Veterans' Cemetery. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex Hospice, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457. It´s still hard to believe she is gone. I always loved seeing Betty at our many softball games and she was a joy to chat with. I miss her still.
