Dear CaCa...
Where to begin...I have so many special memories of you. I guess the one that stands out the most is the time I came to the house and you had been involved in a collision with the door jam..oh boy what a mess that was, I called Sarit in a panic and you were as calm as could be. Or how about that dam cat CaCa...remember the day you kept insisting the "dam Cat" wasn't yours, and I wanted to know whose cat it was then since it lived with you.. and you told me you didn't know..just put it outside which we never did ..well you were right I don't think it was your "dam cat"..
I will miss you and love you always CaCa..and I know you will be the angel watching over my daughter.

I was fortunate to meet and Know Enid{CaCa} also more fortunate to be able to care for her in her final journal. we had a special bond as we were able to talk about babysitting our wonderul grandbabies. i hope in some small way I made her pain less or made her smile inside. May she have no more suffering and rest in peace. Nana Lynn

Nick and Dallas' friendship has been a blessing in many ways not only did it bring Sarit into my life but also gave me the honor of knowing Enid. She will always be remembered for the love and dedication she showed to her family. She loved to laugh and we loved to laugh with her. As her health declined over the past years she remained such a beautiful spirit and she never lost her smile. She will be greatly missed but her memory lives on always. My love and prayers to her wonderful family.

I will always remember Enid's joy being with her family, especially her grand children. She was always there for them. I remember her being with James to make sure he was o.k.in religious school.I remember how moved she was at Dallas'bar mitzvah and Julia's bat mitzvah. It brought tears to my eyes. May she rest in peace.

The first time I met Enid, Dallas had recently been born, Enid after one of her habitual Saturday mornings of "tag sale-ing" trips whirled in with her beautiful red hair, dropped off some tiny tykes toys and whirled away. She was talking a mile a minute and didn't give anyone a chance to add a word in edgewise.....Later in life I was lucky enough to learn her "secrets" of shopping and saving more than you spend. She was always looking for the best buy. My most touching memory of Enid is the wonderful time she enjoyed at Dallas's bar mitzva even with the pain, degradation of her disease, and difficulties in social situations. Enid will always be a part of my live with her teachings, love, and joy for her family. You are all in my prayers, Diane Carroll

Caca was an amazing woman. I remember when she came to services and would sit and watch her grandchildren. My favorite memory of her is when she joyfully watched Dallas during his Bar Mitzvah service. Caca, may you rest in peace...

I have so many memories of Caca..All involving family and her intense love for you all. My best memory is a few years ago when James was in my Sunday School Pre-K and K class. He did not want to stay. We tried every trick in the book and nothing comforted him until Caca agreed to sit there for the entire 21/2 hours. He did not even pay attention to her but just knowing that she was there was good enough for him. This went on thru his entire pre school year and most of kindergarten. Caca's gentle and soothing way was the magic that James needed. At the time it seemed like such an impostion-but Caca never felt that way and now James will have a memory that will last him the rest of his life. I am sure that as he grows older he will be put in the position of going the extra mile for someone and will think of what Caca did for him and do the same. What a legacy to leave your grandson.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered, 'come with me'. With tearful eyes, we watched her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. Her beautiful heart stopped beating, putting her at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the very best."

May this poem entitled "Togetherness" bring Enid's family some peace.
"Death is nothing at all. I have only just slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the same easy way you always have. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it always was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is past. Nothing has been lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was--only better. Infinitely happier. We will be one, together forever." With love, Alice DeStefano

cried when you passed away. I cry today still, Although I loved you I couldn't make you stay. A heart of gold stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove he only takes the best.

I heard a rabbi explain that when a person passes so closely to Rosh Hashana, it is a sign that the person was a truly righteous soul and cherished by G_d, as the "decision" which tradition says was made in the previous Yom Kippur was put off until the last possible moment.
