Enzo Riccitelli Obituary

MERIDEN - Enzo Riccitelli, 69, husband of Joann (Esposito) Riccitelli, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.

Born in Gioia Sannitica, Italy on Jan. 6, 1948, he was the son of Antonetta Riccitelli and the late Pasquale Riccitelli. He had resided in Meriden since 1973. He grew up in Southington, arriving from Italy when he was five and had graduated Southington High School, class of 1967. Mr. Riccitelli was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 42 years, working in Southington, North Haven and East Hartford, retiring in 2010. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Enzo loved his children, grandchildren and all of his family and friends. In his younger years, he loved training for martial arts. He was always fixing and building things. He had a true green thumb and covered every horizontal surface of the house with plants and flowers. He loved to watch cooking shows, collect recipes and was known for his cooking and baking. Enzo was a seasoned cruiser. He loved learning about each ship he sailed on. Anyone who knew him can remember him as an avid "collector" of stuff.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Angela Daigle and her husband, Gregory, of Meriden; a son, Jason Riccitelli and his wife, Danielle, of Berlin; two grandchildren, Christian and Kayla Riccitelli; and a soon to be granddaughter, Kenzie Marie Daigle; a brother, Renaldo Riccitelli and his wife, Sylvia, of Southington; sisters-in-law, Pamela Borselle and her husband, Dave, of Berlin, and Nancy Molzahn and her husband, Eric, of Florida; brothers-in-law, Joseph Esposito and his wife, Nancy, of South Carolina, and Anthony Esposito and his wife, Christina, of Meriden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his best friend, James Hennessey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St. Joseph Campus, 22 Goodwill Ave., Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Friday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. Should friends desire, contribution in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492. I am one of many that worked with Enzo on overhaul and repair. I remember the time that a group of us from work went out to lunch at a buffet. Could Enzo eat. Ill miss the times we worked tighter.
