LEESBURG, Fla. - Ernestine Edna McDermott, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007.
Mrs. McDermott retired from Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. She was born in Meriden was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and was a very loving wife and mother. Mrs. McDermott was in-volved in many activities including: Vice Queen of the Red Hat Society; very active volunteer in the Highland Lakes Community; Bocce Travel Team at Highland Lakes; President of local AmVets Auxiliary, also held positions on state and national levels while residing in Connecticut.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas McDermott of Leesburg, Fla.; son, Mark (Elisabeth) Cole of Melbourne; stepdaughter, Cynthia Smock of Meriden; stepson, Kevin (Louise) McDermott of Meriden; and many other loving friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Richard Cole in 1989; and her parents, Ernest and Edna Bourque.
