George Lippold Obituary

George Lippold
Rutland-George E. Lippold, 79, of Rutland, and formerly of Meriden CT, passed from this earth on May 3, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1945, to George C. and Florice (Barnes) Lippold.
George loved hunting, fishing, photography, hiking, camping, gardening, grilling, the ocean, travelling and all animals. He raised beagles, chickens, goats etc., on the family farm.
He worked hard all his life from the time he was a young man working on a dairy farm at the age of 14. Also, as a young man he worked in retail and at several factories. He had his own garbage route and a landscaping business. He retired at the age of 68 from Cytec Industries in Wallingford, CT and moved to Rutland in 2013.
He is survived by his loving wife Carole (Franzoni) Lippold, her son Christopher G. Levesh, two step-granddaughters Madison and Mia Levesh, Lisa, Nicolas and Nathan Delucrezia, his brother Gerald Lippold of Eugene OR, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews great-great-nephews, in-laws and outlaws, loving friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife's parents Ray and Mary Ann (King) Franzoni, 2 brothers Robert and John, his sister Helen and sisters in law Debbie Lippold and Pat Lippold and best friend George "Bart" Bartholemew.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
Special thanks to the Foley Cancer Center and VNA Hospice of Rutland, VT for their help with his last journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763, or a charity of choice as George was a very loving and caring person.
Rest in Peace George. See you in Heaven.
