Helen Daniels Obituary
Helen is survived by her two sons Kerry (Robin) Daniels and Marc (Lisa) Daniels, five grandchildren Tracey (Daniel) Rowe, Lesley (John) Wojdyla, Joseph Daniels, Jessica (Michael) Vollmer, and Michael Daniels, eleven great-grandchildren Carter, Brady, Kendall and Owen Rowe, Charlotte and Benjamin Wojdyla, Mason Daniels, Nolan, Gavin, Preston and Delaney Vollmer.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph H. Daniels (2014).
Helen was born February 9, 1930 in Wallingford, Connecticut, to Michael and Usta Yakubovich. She retired from Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, where she worked in the Admissions Office.
Helen and Joseph moved to Shorewood in 2003 to be near their sons and their families.
Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and many other homemaking activities.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, Friday, October 22nd at 11:00 A.M. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

My sympathy to Helen´s family on her passing. I worked with Helen at Gaylord back in the 1970´s and used to love running into her around Wallingford so we could catch up on our lives. She was a one of a kind person, who loved her boys so much. I´m sure you will miss her. Keep your memories close!

I am so very sorry for your loss. My mom, Louise Paradise and myself threw a baby shower for her 1st grandchild to be born, Helen was so excited.
She always spoke with such pride of her sons.
She also always chuckled a little bit when she made mention of having the last partyline (telephone) in Wallingford.
Please know, I will also hold your mom close to my heart.
