Mr. Barker was an absolute love. He and Gloria were among the most beautiful, kind and loving folks I've ever been blessed to meet. They have certainly passed this legacy on to their family as well. May God welcome Herb into His gentle arms as He did Gloria and may they both rest forever peacefully in God's gentle arms knowing how many smiles and comfort they afforded to folks who needed it here on earth. Praying for peace for their beautiful family and hoping that one day in our eternal lives we will all meet again.

It is hard to imagine a world without Popsadoozie and Mommanoozie but here I am having to live without my parents. I just want to write "Thank You" to my mom and dad for teaching me so many important lessons in my life. I hope to carry out their lessons of kindness, caring, empathy and helping others. Thank you to everyone for sending us such beautiful messages of love.

Dear Barker Family, Sincere Condolences to you All for the loss of your Dad. He was a great person as I spent many hours chatting with him in your family's grocery store, Barker's Family Food, on Colony Street in Meriden during my younger years. May he RIP
