Jacqueline Chamberland Obituary

Jacqueline Yvette Chamberland, 70, of New Britain died, Jan. 18, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with a short illness. She was the widow of Abel Chamberland.

She was born in St. Agatha, Maine, the daughter of the late Euclide and Edwina (Derosier) Albert. She was a New Britain resident most of her life and was a graduate of New Britain High School. She worked in Quality Assurance for Johnson & Johnson, retiring in 1997. She was member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Chamberland Baruffi and her husband, Dean, of Kensington; her son, Roger Chamberland and his wife, Barbara, of Southington; she was "Memere" to her grandchildren, Nicholas and Jenna Baruffi, and Katelin and Nathan Chamberland; her loving Mom, Jeanne Albert, of Southington; her sister, Florine Corriveau and her dear partner, Ernie, of Plainville; her sister, Doris Chasse and her husband, Richard, of Southington; her brothers, Donald Albert, of New Britain, and Michael Albert and his wife, Ginger, of Pownal, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Jan. 24, 2011, at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, followed by a Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Entombment was in St. Mary Cemetery.
