John Befus, Obituary
John was born in New Haven on April 1, 1951, son of Jean Riveness Befus and the late John Gordon Befus, Sr.
He was the father of Ashlie Marie Befus and Kyle Gordon Befus. He was also survived by Shane Lynch whom was like a second son to him. He was the brother of Sharon (Steve) Zahariades.
Family and friends gathered on Saturday, Nov. 28, at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Closer to Free Fund, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
