Jonathan Puttre Obituary
Jonathan was born in Meriden, Aug. 15, 1984, beloved son of William Puttre and MaryAnn Ford Puttre. Jonathan was a lifelong Wallingford resident. He attended Holy Trinity School, Xavier High School and in his sophomore year he transferred to Mark T. Sheehan High School and graduated in 2002. Jonathan attended Eastern Connecticut State University and worked in the field of nursing in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Jonathan was a loving son, brother and uncle who shared his enthusiasm for sports, especially basketball, with all who knew him. Jonathan was an avid New England Patriots fan and he loved to cook for his family and friends, a passion he developed while spending summers working at Mountainside Outing Club in Wallingford during his college years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Jennifer Straub, her husband, Bill, of Wallingford; and his brothers, Jason William Puttre, of New Hampshire and James Matthew Puttre, of Bristol. Jonathan is also survived by his four aunts, Theresa (James) Roche, Dorothy (James) Kemmer, Marion (Jerald) Gorman, and Jeanette (Richard) West; his niece and nephews, Anna and Tommy Straub, Bailey Puttre and Michael Puttre; and many loving cousins. Jonathan is predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Thaddeus Puttre; his maternal grandparents, Thaddeus and Margaret Ford; and his paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Puttre.
Jonathan's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Friday, Oct. 30, from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 10 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to Holy Trinity School, 11 N. Whittlesey Ave, Wallingford, CT. 06492, Xavier High School, 181 Randolph Road, Middletown, CT. 06457, or the John J. Nerden Regional Training Center Camp P.O. Box 2617, Meriden, CT 06450.
