Linda Carlson Obituary

Linda Dorothea Carlson
Linda Dorothea Carlson passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Meriden, at the age of 86.
Born on May 18, 1939, Linda grew up in Wallingford and settled in Meriden, where she spent most of her life. She built a long and steady career at Unimax Switch and later at Oslo Switch, staying dedicated to her work well into her seventies before finally giving herself permission to retire.
Linda lived a quiet, private life, true to her nature. She loved books, could get lost in a good crossword, and never missed a chance to cheer on the Boston Red Sox- loyally, stubbornly, and with all the hope that requires.
She is survived by her sister, Ellen Gordon of Cheshire, and her brother, James Carlson of Wallingford. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews: Alisia (Tony) Ceddia, Krister (Kim) Carlson, Kimberly Carlson Rowe, and Scott (Jessica) Gordon; and by her grandnieces and nephews; Domenic and Alice Ceddia, Robert Carlson, Chelsea Rowe, and Madeline and Jacob Gordon. She also leaves behind many cousins in the United States and Sweden.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Bertil Carlson, and her brother, Karl Carlson.
