Margot Davis Obituary

Margot (Gilmore) Davis, 76, of Washington, CT, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, June 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of L. Laird Davis, Jr., for 48 years.

Margot was born on March 7, 1946, the daughter of the late George and Margaret Gilmore. She graduated from Maloney High School in Meriden and attended Quinnipiac College before working in the athletic office at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, where she met the love of her life, Laird Davis. Together they have five children and ten beloved grandchildren. Warm and compassionate, Margot was quick witted and always a good friend.

Besides her husband Laird and her two sisters, Carol Ford and Kathleen Hyde, Margot is survived by children Kelley Flanders (Robert), Todd Davis (Catherine), Sean Davis, Kirsten Camp (David) and Charlotte Vigeant (Phil) and her 10 grandchildren: Laird T. Davis, H. Wheeler Davis, Margot B. Flanders, Amber L. Vigeant, Tamarin M. Camp, Lily T. Camp, Robert S. Flanders, Shane H. Vigeant, Eliza T. Davis, and Sydney C. Vigeant.
