Martin "Marty" Michael Maloney, 65, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025. Born in Taunton, MA on July 27th, 1960, he was the son of Jean (Terribile) Maloney and the late William Maloney. Marty was raised in Wallingford and graduated from Wilcox Technical High School in 1978. Marty had a long and successful career working for the US Postal Service out of the Middletown office for over 25 years. During his retirement Marty spent most days with his grandson. Marty was known for his quick wit, eccentric cooking, and for being an avid reader. Marty is survived by his mother Jean, his daughter Meagan (Ryan) Tiscia and son Mitchell Maloney. Marty also leaves behind the light of his life; his grandson Luca. He is predeceased by his father, wife Patricia Casciano, and his brother Howard Barbrick.
Marty's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 7th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Words of Remembrance will be shared at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private. To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.wallingfordfh.com.
