Mary Lipinski Obituary

MERIDEN - Mary F. Lipinski, 92, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Hartford Hospital.

Born on June 15, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Helen (Czeszynski) Lipinski. A longtime resident of Meriden, Mary was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was employed by the Napier Company from where she retired after many years of service. Mary was active in the Masons and held numerous offices in the Eastern Star. She also held numerous posts with the Emblem Club of the Elks.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Edith G. Lipinski, of East Lyme; a nephew, Gerard Sczepura and his wife, Chae of Florida; two nieces, Laura Kokoszka and her husband, Chester, of Old Lyme and Deborah Nelligan and her husband, James of Pennsylvania; three great-nieces, Natasha Kokoszka, of South Carolina, Amanda Kokoszka, of East Lyme, Wendy Nelligan of Pennsylvania; and a step-niece, Jennifer Rockefeller, of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Lipinski; two sisters, Helen Wang and Theresa Sczepura. and her nephew, Stephen Lipinski.

Her funeral will be held on Monday April 6, at 10:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday April 6, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
