Michael McParland Obituary
Mike was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 1949. The son of late Kevin and Nancy McParland; and his Nana Leonard. He came to the U.S. with his family to Meriden Conn. in 1965. Michael will always be remembered as an avid reader and his passion for history.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen McParland, of 48 years; his daughter, Erin Napolitano McParland and her husband, Ronald Napolitano, Jr., of Meriden; his son, Conan McParland and his wife, Sarah (Mastrangelo) McParland, of Lake Wylie, S.C.; his twin granddaughters, Lauren and Ashley McParland, of Meriden; his sister, Ann Sanchez McParland and her husband, Rick Sanchez, of Chula Vista, Calif. Mike is predeceased by his oldest son, Derek McParland. Anyone who got the chance to know Mike knew the pride and enduring love he has for his family, his great sense of humor, and his ability to make anyone feel at home.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. at South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, 145 Main St., South Meriden.
