Muriel Passariello Obituary
Muriel was born in New Haven on November 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Norton) Baldwin. A graduate of Hillhouse High School, she went on to work at Yale University where 55 years ago she met Lou and started their life together.
Muriel was an active member and volunteer for Holy Trinity Church where she was a member of the Trinity Ladies Club, Christians In Action, and Hospitality, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Wallingford community. The friendships she forged were lifelong and she was blessed with loving people in her life. Muriel's affinity for quilting, knitting, crafting, and baking was well known by her family and friends, and she was both skilled and generous with her gifts.
In addition to her husband, Lou, she is survived by her sons, Louis Passariello III of Wallingford and Nicholas Passariello and his wife, Claire, of Wallingford; her beautiful granddaughters, Audrey and Anna Passariello; her sisters-in-law Marie Carbutti and Josephine Tonelli; her nieces Paula Carbutti, Gina Carbutti, and Lisa McCarthy; her nephew Joseph Tonelli.
She will be greatly missed by all and will surely continue to serve the Lord she loved and the greater good in Heaven.
Muriel's family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 4 pm until 7 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm on Friday, July 28, 2923, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In Lieu of flowers, gifts in Muriel's memory can be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dedication and honor, perseverance and grace. This wonderful lady, who when was months away from her own calling. Still came to support us with the loss of my own beloved husband who passed suddenly and so young. Enduring such a long time consuming line to pay her respects. I was astonished and could not have done so myself in the same situation I’m sure. May the Lord always keep her family safe and peaceful. Until they too join this very strong lady.

Thinking back to when we first met Muriel and Lou through soccer and scouting and how wonderful she was to both of our sons. Muriel was a thoughtful and caring friend for so many years. Lou and Family - I am so sorry to hear of Muriel´s passing. Whether it was in the CCD office, the bazaar, or at Mass, Muriel was always gracious, with a warm smile. When she spoke about her family, her quilting projects, or latest bake, her eyes lit up and the smile was so big! You are in my prayers - may she rest in peace.

I met Muriel when I started working with her at MHT with a group of other people who did counting. She and Lou were a great couple.
She always displayed a great personality and shared with us pictures of her grandchildren.
She will be a great loss to the Most Holy Trinity parish and the Our Lady of Fatima campus.

Lou, we were saddened to hear of the loss of your amazing companion of 55 years. Muriel enriched every space she entered and has left a legacy that few can match, with her generous giving to so many needs, as I think back to gatherings at the Holy Trinity basement where she regularly volunteered. She was the parishioner that priests pray will be there when they get a new assignment.
It is exciting to think of the joy she is experiencing, as she has met the God she served so faithfully as well as the family and friends who were waiting for her on the other side. Hers was a special and wonderful life, with Lou with her in so many ventures.

More recently, although we lived far apart, we kept in touch regularly on Facebook. Lou and family, I am at a loss for words.
We all the the pain she's dealt with and I am thankful she is no longer suffering. I will always remember how she jumped to volunteer to help anyone in need, she always made the time.
