Nancy Lindsay, 89, of Yalesville, a devoted and loving wife to Ronald Lindsay for 65 years, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at Midstate Medical Center, with her family by her side.
Born in Meriden on December 3, 1935, Nancy, lovingly known by childhood friends as "Jake", was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Hall) Jacobs. Raised in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, CT, she graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1953 and went on to pursue her passion for education at Boston University, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. Nancy later continued her studies at Southern Connecticut State University, earning a certification in Library Science as well as her Sixth Year Degree in Administration.
In addition to her husband, Ronald, she is survived by her daughter, Ann Lindsay, and her husband, Robert Martinez; her sons, Curtis Lindsay and his wife, Audrey, and Ned Lindsay and his wife, Niti; and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Connor Lindsay. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Jacobs.
Nancy's family will receive relatives and friends at the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place Street, Wallingford, from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Her funeral service will follow at 11 am in the church, which will be live streamed on the church website. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Yalesville United Methodist Church.
