Pamela DeVeau Obituary

Pamela Passerini DeVeau, daughter of Florence Filipek Passerini, passed away on November 25th. Incredibly creative, curious and adventurous, Pam spent years performing, and then translated her talents into a career as a teacher. She is survived by her four children, Barclay, Barrett Josh, Brandice and Jameson DeVeau, her grandson, Axel DeVeau, partner, David Corso, her lifelong friends Betsy Dorrico and Christine Richards, numerous cousins and family friends, and her beloved dogs, Darby and Ziggy. She worked tirelessly on behalf of animal rights, specifically anti-poaching. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in her name to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/donate/honour

Barclay and Pam's other children. Today I just read about your Mother I had no idea she passed away. Barclay you are probably the only one that will remember me. I was Mom's travel agent and friend. I can always remember how kind she was and taking you to New York on the train 2-3 times a week. Her and your Dad came over to my house many times and we would laughed all night. I'm so sorry to have just read this and I will pray for her and all of you. I'm sure you and your siblings are all grown up to adults I haven't seen you in years. May Mom rest in Peace

Pam will always hold a special place in my heart. She always welcomed me into her house like family, and I will never forget the good times with movie and game nights and of course, karaoke. I always loved her dry and witty sense of humor and how much she cared for her dogs and her beloved children. Will keep her in my prayers and wish her peace.

I worked with Pam for many years at Chamberlain School until she retired. She was always engaging, caring and supportive with both her students & colleagues. We shared countless hours talking about her dogs & mine! She was such an animal lover & a kind person! I’m so sorry for your loss. Pam was a bright light who will be missed.

So very sorry to lose a wonderful Wallingford Lady. Pam brightened up our lives with her charm, her love for her family, and life partner David Corso That love was always evident by her smile each time those she loved were near.

When I considered moving to Tennessee, she was upset and was actually moved to tears because Pam valued my training and Behavior Modification for her pooches. She seemed lost at my news but then came back around when tragic circumstances rocked my world. She and David Corso took me to plays and events that kept me busy.

There will only be one Pam DeVeau, whose name suggested she was a performer or star. To me, she was a friend. Being a performer, she encouraged me but ironically, never talked about that aspect of her life. I owe a lot of smiles to Pam, Dave, and her family. Why? She brought laughter and joy to me and my life!
Pam did not die, she just passed over to the other side of the veil where she is entertaining all of her friends. Though her Curtain Closed here, she is Opening every night in Heaven. She went there fast. The Good Lord knew the kind of person she was. Lenny P!

Some of my best memories were at family 4th of July or Christmas get togethers. I didn’t always feel like part of the family but she reminded me I was. I was so excited when my kids got to have her as her teacher and they bragged how their family was there with them at school. Sad that she is gone and I didn’t get to know her better. My love to all of my cousins and family during this time

Sending my heartfelt condolences on the loss of cousin Pammy. Pam was a warm and caring person.
I remember my younger years with her listening to one of her favorites, Elvis Presley.
May the special moments of her life fill your hearts with happy memories. I know she would like to be remembered with smiles.
