Ralph Paul Cavalieri

WALLINGFORD - Ralph Paul Cavalieri, 93, of Wallingford, died peacefully, Saturday, April 20, 2013, at his residence.

Ralph was born in Wallingford, July 17, 1919, son of the late John Cavalieri and the late Mary Calamore Wolf and her late husband Harry Wolf. Ralph was raised in Wallingford, and Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a Pearl Harbor survivor. Ralph was a member of the Hamden Elks Lodge and served two terms as an exalted ruler, he was also a member of the VFW in Hamden. He was the owner of Ralph's Auto Body Shop in Hamden for over 35 years until his retirement. Ralph loved golf, boating and playing cards. He had a colorful life and lived life to the fullest. He was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his two daughters, Carolyn Cavalieri, of Killingworth and Dolores (Glenn) Paddock, of Cheshire; four grandchildren, Michael Paul Arsenault (Chi,) of Brookline, Mass., Justin D. (Heather) Hancort, of Cheshire, Stephanie T. (Steve) Swabski, of Prospect and Alexandra D. Paddock, of San Antonio, Texas; and his four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Edward and Mia Swabski and Emily Arsenault.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Saturday, May 4, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. A service will follow in The Wallingford Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 406 West 34th Street, Kansas City, MO. 64111.
