Sharon Abbatiello Obituary
Sharon leaves behind her siblings, Biff and Regis; stepson, Thomas J. Abbatiello of Wallingford; and step-grandchildren, Ben and Claire. She also leaves behind her fiancé's children, Cheryl Williams of Asheville, NC, Tammy Lobota of West Palm Beach, FL, Tom J. Williams of Cheshire, and Luke Williams of Guilford; and her fiancé's grandchildren, Olivia Williams, Devin Williams, Jonathan Lobota, Krystal and Aubrey Williams and Valerie and Richard Williams.
Sharon was a graduate of Hamden High School and Nazareth College of Bardstown, KY. She worked as a travel agent for over 40 years and was fortunate enough to travel the world. Sharon was an avid reader and a true dog lover. In her later years, she would be known to walk and care for up to ten dogs at a time. She always considered other before herself and brought much joy and happiness to those around her. Sharon was a giver, a friend, and a genuinely sweet person.
Arrangements - Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Branford Animal Shelter at www.branford-ct.gov/departments/animal-shelter/donation. I was fortunate to work with Sharon at world trek travel for many years before we lost touch with each other. She would take care of our dogs for us when we needed her. She was the kindest, most selfless person we knew. Both my husband and myself loved Sharon. I will remember her as always kind and thoughtful, smiling and cheerful..I will miss her.
