It is with great sadness that the family of William Wahl, Sr. announces his passing on October 22, 2021.

Bill was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on February 25, 1944, and had resided in Meriden, CT for the past 43 years.

Bill graduated from Holy Rosary and The Johnson Technical Institute in Scranton, PA and was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft before retiring after 33 years.

Bill was known by many and loved by all. No matter where he went, Bill made a friend. He loved chatting and visiting with others. He will be remembered best for his kind and generous ways.

Family was the most important thing to Bill.

Bill is survived by Elaine, his loving wife of 53 years. He also leaves behind one son and his wife, William Jr. & Donna Wahl, and two daughters and their husbands, Michelle & Kevin Lindsay, and Kristin & Brian Galovich.

Bill leaves behind a sister, Elaine Davis. He was predeceased by one sister, Eleanor, and four brothers, Robert, Joseph, Frank & John Wahl.

His greatest joy in life was being Poppa to his grandchildren. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by Joseph & Matthew Wahl, Claire & Calan Lindsay, Caidyn, Elliott, Bennett & Hadley Galovich.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

It was an honor to know Bill and sit with Peter's dad (Bob McNulty) on the porch together. He never came to visit empty handed.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
