Yvonne Soares Obituary
She was born and raised in Fall River, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband, Augustine Soares. She loved family gatherings and spent many happy summer days with family at Cape Cod. Always generous to others, her final wish was that her body be donated to Yale Medical School to educate future doctors.
She is survived by her brother, George Demers and his wife, Beverly; and her sister, Madeleine Robillard. Yvonne is also survived by her five children, Carol (Al) Baron, Wayne Soares, Sharon Cascio, Brian Soares, and Patty (Ken) Mailhot; as well as 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A life celebration service will be held at Third Congregational Church, 94 Miner St., Middletown on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m.

Patty, Ken, Stephanie, Samantha and Family - Thinking of you all during this difficult time. I know you will move forward in her honor. The gatherings, the stories, the laughs. I'll never forget being in the Cape, we get to the restaurant, Yvonne, at 85 yrs. old gets out of the car and starts dancing in the parking lot!! Mrs. Soares was my neighbor from the time I was 11. I grew up with a few of her grandchildren. She was a really nice woman and had a beautiful smile. She loved her family very much, and it showed. My condolences on your loss.
