Beverly Purinton Obituary
Mesa, AZ — Beverly, Bev, Purinton, 90, a summer resident of West County, passed away on June 7, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona.
Bev was born in Greenfield, MA on May 28, 1932 the daughter of George H. Call and Gladys I. Call. She married Robert E. Purinton on September 10, 1950.
While living in MA Beverly worked at the phone company and the former Kendall Mills in Colrain. When Bob and Bev moved to CT she worked for the Granby Public Schools and retired from the Granby USPS.
She leaves behind her children; Dennis (Gayle) Purinton, Eileen (Kevin) Emmons, Alma (Coleman) Jarrell and Kenneth Purinton, four grandchildren; Michael Purinton (Barbara Cudworth), Karen (Jay) Humes, Reid Purinton, and Kaitlyn Purinton (Victor Kyei), two great grandchildren; Jesse and Andrew Humes, one sister Jacqueline (Eugene Anderson) and two brothers-in-law; Alan (Carole) Purinton and Steve (Lynda) Purinton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Purinton, her parents George and Gladys Call, brothers Royal, Larry and George and sisters Elaine and Eleanor.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 2, at 1:00 pm at the Mary Lyon Church, 17 Upper St., Buckland, MA. Due to COVID concerns the family is requesting masks be worn and the service will also be on Zoom. Burial services will follow in Arms Cemetery in Shelburne Falls.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Lyon Church, 17 Upper St., Buckland, MA 01338
