David Perry Obituary
Greenfield, MA - Dr. David Alan Perry, 78, of Myers Farm Lane passed away on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield, MA.
David was born on May 20, 1945, in Newport, NH to Joseph and Vera (Paul) Perry. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire and went on to attend Tufts University in Boston, MA where he earned his doctorate degree in dentistry. After graduating from Tufts, David served in the United States Air Force for four years and attained the rank of Major. He valued his service to our country highly. Upon leaving the Air Force, David began his dental practice in Billerica, MA.
David moved to the North Shore of MA, and then Cheshire County, NH before settling in Western MA. He spent 23 years practicing dentistry in Brattleboro, VT until his retirement in 2017. He was an excellent dentist who took impeccable care and pride in his craft. He was dedicated to his community, his patients, and his staff.
He was an avid golfer and loved traveling. Disney was a favorite place with his wife and family. Over the years, he shared his home with one dog, and special cats who brought him great happiness. David was an intelligent man who will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, warm smile, and great sense of humor.
David leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Paula (Starratt) Perry; his children, daughters Julie and her husband Brian of Litchfield, NH, and Jill of Billerica, MA; and son David and his wife Jan, of Kingston, NH; and his granddaughters, Jenna and Abigail.
Sincere gratitude to the caregivers at Charlene Manor, Unit 3. Your compassion and support will always be remembered.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
