Greenfield, MA — Gary P. Bulman, 72, of Pine Street passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday 9/21/22 at the Western Mass Hospital in Westfield. He was born in Greenfield on July 19, 1950, the son of Francis and Pauline (Sharby) Bulman. Gary attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1969. After high school, Gary enlisted in the United States Army as a teletype operator in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.

After his honorable discharge from the United States Army, Gary attended Springfield Technical College, studying heat and power engineering. After his schooling, Gary worked at a power plant in New Orleans for a period of time. Upon his return to Greenfield, Gary worked for the Department of Public Works for the Town of Greenfield for many years. He then was a bus driver for FRTA where he enjoyed serving people for fourteen years until his retirement.

Gary enjoyed football, especially the Patriots and loved his dogs, Sammy and Ellie. Gary enjoyed attending air shows and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his beloved wife of forty five years, Debbie Bulman, Gary leaves two sons, Chris and his wife Heather of Oxford, NC and David Bulman and his wife Crystal of Raleigh, NC; two grandsons, Landon and Lucas; a brother, Brian Bulman and his wife Barbara of Turners Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Francis and Pauline, Gary was predeceased by a sister, Patty Bulman.

Gary's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Western Mass Hospital and the National Guard for their incredible care and kindness shown to Gary and his family during his time there. Also, a special thank you to Gary's lifelong friend Jeff Sinclair for all of his support and care.

A memorial service will be held Friday 10/7 at 11am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veteran's Cemetery in Winchendon at 1pm.

A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
