Howard N. Anderson

Greenfield, MA — Howard N. Anderson died April 20, 2021 at the Buckley Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.

Howard was born November 16, 1931 in Falls Township, Bucks County Pennsylvania, the son of Nils and Ida Anderson.

Survived by his son Thomas Anderson and wife Linda of Bloomingburg NY, A daughter Debra Gifford and husband William of Warren ME, and daughter Janice Wheeler and husband Fred of Greenfield MA, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his wife of almost 65 years, Joan, his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Jack Kasner, his brothers Paul, Carl, Evan and a sister Mae Gonzalez.

Howard was always a hard worker, beginning as a carpenter in his teenage years, building his family house in Newtown PA. He had his own contracting business, building many Dunkin Donuts throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Howard was a very active Jehovah's Witness since 1966, helping many learn the truth from the Bible. He was involved in many building projects over the years including the Buckingham and Newburgh Assembly halls as well as many Kingdom Halls in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Howard was the caretaker at the Buckingham Assembly hall for ten years then moved to New Windsor NY. In 2013, because of the health of his wife moved to Greenfield to be with family.

A memorial service will be held May 8, 2021 at 2 PM via Zoom. For more information please contact a family member.

The family would like to thank Overlook visiting Nurses along with Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Buckley Healthcare and New England Hospice, as well as many, many friends for all their care and support for Howard.
