James Underwood Obituary
Colrain, MA - James F. Underwood, 70, of York Rd., passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Jim was born in Greenfield, MA on December 4, 2025 the son of Robert and Charlotte (Looman) Underwood. He was a graduate of the Greenfield Technical School.
He was employed by the former Kendall Mills in Colrain as a machine operator for 47 years prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, camping in the White mountains, and traveling to Key West. He was a fan of the Red Sox-even when they were good or not so good, the Bruins and the New York Giants.
He is survived by his sons; Scott Underwood of Heath, Jason Underwood of Heath, Jacob Underwood of Kingston, MA and Cody Underwood of Colrain, his sister Glenda Wood of Colrain, grandson Logan, granddaughter Taylor, and his long time companion of over 20 years, Kathleen Thomas of Greenfield.
It was Jim's wish that there be no services.
